Assembly Now elaborates on the psychology and technology of emergent algorithmic software through the interface of the mirror, which functions as a contemporary screen filtering our emotions.

Visitors will be immersed in a work that plays with perception, interactivity and unexpected encounters - including the viewer’s own reflection captured and integrated within the artwork.

It is likely you will encounter other participants in our virtual space – please behave as if you were in the gallery IRL.

We STRONGLY recommend headphones to avoid feedback!

We need access to your camera and microphone for this experience. Please click below and follow the prompts in your browser.

Assembly Now is commissioned by Metro Arts and is showcased as part of Brisbane Festival 2020.

The onsite exhibition is a collaboration between Sally Golding and Spatial and can be visited 3rd to 27th September 2020 in Brisbane, Australia.

The online interpretation is a collaboration with Tim Cowlishaw and produced by Cenatus as an open source project.
