Assembly Now elaborates on the psychology and technology of emergent algorithmic software through the interface of the mirror, which functions as a contemporary screen filtering our emotions.

Visitors will be immersed in a work that plays with perception, interactivity and unexpected encounters - including the viewer’s own reflection captured and integrated within the artwork.

It is likely you will encounter other participants in our virtual space – please behave as if you were in the gallery IRL.

Assembly Now is commissioned by Metro Arts and is showcased as part of Brisbane Festival 2020.

The onsite exhibition is a collaboration between Sally Golding and Spatial and can be visited 3rd to 27th September 2020 in Brisbane, Australia.

The online interpretation is a collaboration with Tim Cowlishaw and produced by Cenatus as an open source project.
